DevWorks is building up a tented clinic for doctors in the flooded areas in north-west Pakistan province of Khyber- Pakhtoonkhwa. “Portable and light, a tented clinic is the fastest way we can help,” said Sher Alam of DevWorks, “with time, we’ll provide something more permanent.

DevWorks builds low-cost housing facilty in Pakistan.

DevWorks has just opened new facility to produce low-cost housing and other shelter. Based in Karachi, the small workshop converts abandoned shipping containers into inexpensive homes, clinics, markets and offices.

Eggstanding – Kandahari women grow poultry biz

A tiny poultry project has really taken off in Kandahar. Started last year, now some 250 women are doubling their income selling eggs to the local market. These entrepreneurs now wholly run this thriving and growing business.

Afghan-owned Crate Factory opens in Kandahar

Afghan farmers lose huge amounts of their produce through poor packaging. Recently, our team opened the country’s first plastic crate factory with a capacity to produce a half-million recyclable crates a year. It is now community owned, Afghan operated and profitable.
